ESP Associates, Inc. has an opportunity this summer for a Civil Engineering – Land Development Intern to support the Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, and Charleston, SC markets.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineering student with specific interests in exploring a career path in land development! 

You will have the Opportunity to:

• Work alongside a well-established team of designers and engineers
• Gain hands-on design and construction drawing preparation experience with Civil3D
• Support real-time land development projects 
• Gain first-hand experience in a multi-discipline firm

Responsibilities: 

• The position could involve design in land development and construction document preparation for roads, storm drainage systems, storm water management facilities, water and sanitary sewer utility design, sediment and erosion control, and traffic control.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology curriculum.
• Applicant must have a strong desire to learn and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. 
• Good oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail required. 
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
