Job Description
Internship Dates: 05/20/2024 - 07/26/2024
Job Objective: To learn about working at a nonprofit through assisting with special projects and qualitative research. Position will rotate through the 4 functional departments: Housing, Shelter, Social Work, and Engagement at 2-week intervals. Each assignment will be relevant to that department and will involve a special research or production project that will help the team assess its business processes or help with a special project that can be completed within the timeframe
Sample Responsibilities include:
Researching client data to validate a program outcome measure
Conducting a stakeholder survey to provide data on a program or campaign
Assist with conducting an event for client families or for CFH volunteers
Conduct an outreach and appreciation campaign for CFH partners
Assisting with one of several special projects we have planned for the summer
Team: Rotates between Housing, Shelter, Social Work and Engagement teams
Accountability: Reports directly to Executive Director
Qualifications:
1. Effective oral and written communication skills
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with families, volunteers, and co-workers
3. Proficient in computer and standard office software including Microsoft Office programs
4. Reliable and dependable transportation. Must have valid driver’s license and insured transportation
