The mission of our Education Statistics team is to provide statistical evidence that is meaningful, timely, accurate, and trustworthy. The Intern can expect to work on a variety of communications-related projects to support our project teams with dissemination and outreach strategies and products for federal clients such as the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) as well as help refine internal processes for communicating across teams about our support activities. Responsibilities The responsibilities for the position include: Providing communications support to projects related to the data analysis and reporting of assessment data. Data used in various communication formats will be from large scale federal assessments such as the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and other data from statistical agencies such as the National Center for Education Statistics, National Center for Health Statistics, Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Census. Creating original content to communicate meaning and usefulness of data. Using various styles and formats for communicating (e.g., traditional reports, social media, internal presentations). Monitoring analytics on the reach and effectiveness of communication activities. Qualifications Education, Knowledge, and Experience: Must be a current student (for the duration of the internship) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a communications, design, or production-related field Knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Sketch, Figma), SEO, and Google Analytics Some quantitative skills - a plus but not required Knowledgeable in editing video, 2-D animati
