Cox Group is currently seeking enthusiastic, talented, and motivated individuals for Public Relations & Marketing Internship located in Huntersville, NC. At Cox Group we are a digital marketing agency that is nearing 25 years in business. Clients include many industries ie; extreme sports, healthcare, software, marine, manufacturing, charities, and many more. This position reports to the senior team and owners of the company. This internship will help you acquire marketing, creative, and PR skills and provide you with knowledge of various social media and marketing strategies.

Our focus is to extend your education beyond the classroom with real-world experience with real clients. You will be encouraged to work with our entire staff, gain knowledge from various departments, and feel a part of accomplishing work for our client base. We are flexible with student schedules and other summer employment engagements. Our office atmosphere lends itself to creativity, great work, and fun!

Interns love it here. We usually have 3 at a time. We have recently hire part-time after course completed. This internship is unpaid.

Seeking candidates who are:

• Creative, self-starter who can take initiative with tasks
• Strong computer & keyboarding skills. (Mac preferred)
• Strong writing and quick writing skills
• Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Very familiar with social media; such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram
• Develop a social media campaign to attract new business
• Blogging experience or confidence in writing and posting preferred
• Passion for the marketing industry in many industries and its best practices
• Assist with new client programs and website content and design
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities
• Perform background research on current topics in many different fields.
• Create social, editorial, and email content, including blog posts.
• Write blog posts, social media posts, ad copy, and other communications and publications for digital distribution.
• Apply PR and press relations activities with clients as needed
• Email marketing campaign development and implementation
• Develop a marketing timeline for new client initiatives
• Co-develop key client promotional materials
• Review Google Analytics and social media insights and make recommendations to the account manager
• Attend meetings with senior colleagues
• Ask lots of questions & have a lot of fun!
