Job Description

The EDLD Administrative Support person hired for the Department of Educational Leadership is a temporary employee, 20-hour-a-week, fall and spring (9-month) position. The individual will support the Department in the following ways:

        Recruitment

  • Respond to email and phone inquiries
  • Manage websites
  • Update program flyers
  • Create and manage social media presence
  • Support and organize recruitment and student events
  • Update recruitment and contact lists
  • Prepare and attend information sessions
  • Assist with the development and organization of template recruitment 

emails

Admissions

  • Download and organize applicant data for faculty review
  • Schedule applicant interviews
  • Collect and compile faculty reviews, i.e., rubrics
  • Prepare the interview day agenda
  • Notification to applicants who receive interviews of the interview agenda, log-on 

instructions, and troubleshoot help

  • Plan new student orientation, i.e., admit day
  • Assist with the development and organization of template admissions emails

 

Program Activities

  • Plan graduate student social events
  • Plan and assist with the Educational Leadership Organization
  • Assist with programmatic meetings

 

Program Evaluation

  • Assist with external review
  • Assist with SLO reporting
  • Assist with organizing data from GPDNet Graduate School Data

 

Instruction

  • Help to develop Canvas courses
  • Enter data in our data management system

 

Scheduling

  • Assist with course registration
  • Assist with course schedule development
  • Create registration communications

 

Other related duties as assigned

Eligibility: Full-time or Part-time enrollment in a master’s or doctoral program with preference given to those in the Department of Educational Leadership.

 

International students in F-1 or J-1 status enrolled in academic courses are allowed to work part-time up to 20 hours per week, on campus while school is in session (during the academic year) and full-time, 40 hours per week during summer vacation.
