Job Description
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Facilities Management Department is seeking an outgoing motivated person to join our staff as a Recycling Technician.The Recycling Technician supports the Recycling Department and its efforts to reduce waste, increase recycling, and maintain the cleanliness of campus by performing duties that include but are not limited to:1. Operate vehicles and equipment to help process materials (box truck, carts, trailers, pallet jacks, leaf blowers, etc.)2. This position functions as a Recycling Lead Technician to collect materials from grounds and buildings3. Collect materials and data associated with recyclables and landfill.4. Report, prepare, and transport diverted materials to designated locations.5. Ensure that materials are properly sorted and free from contaminants.6. Maintain neat, clean, orderly and safe equipment and collection locations.7. Provides backup in other areas as assigned.
