Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the organization, staffing, marketing, and implementation of campus prevention training, including mental health first aid training, a national, evidence-based mental health and suicide prevention strategy designed to educate
students, staff, and faculty to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis and build skills and confidence to intervene to create a culture of care on campus.

The Coordinator of Campus Prevention Trainings is responsible for leading a diverse team of staff/faculty who serve as instructors for prevention training, including Mental Health First Aid. This will include trainer recruitment, engagement, and development. This position is responsible for developing collaborative relationships to coordinate a variety of program activities including a social marketing campaign, active training schedule, and action-based events to engage students in destigmatizing mental health concerns and promoting help-seeking. This position will report to the Director and assist in broader-level mental health education and prevention outreach, training, and education for the campus community including planning for signature events.
