  • This brand new outdoor multi-level venue will house multiple bars, food trucks and a state-of-the-art led/sound system and a large stage for live entertainment! This will be THE PLACE to socialize, entertain and be entertained! The Bay Street Yard – Opening in MAY 2024!  
  • The Bay Street Yard Bar Manager is responsible to manage the day to day operations of all bars ensuring a highly positive, engaging, and unique guest experience, assisting in the procurement of product, and ensuring venue meets or exceeds all state and local health and safety guidelines

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Maintain compliance with Mainsail Lodging & Development company core values.
  • Create a positive atmosphere for guests and team members.
  • Prepare all Bay Street Yard bar member’s schedules according to the business forecast, payroll budget guidelines, and productivity requirements per anticipated business levels
  • Participate and assist in coordinating regular staff meetings
  • Assist in procurement of product and operational supplies
  • Assist in conducting daily/monthly par checks and inventory to review portion control, reduce waste, and ensure no interruption of service.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing proper professional attire.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Mainsail Lodging & Development’s policy, following a schedule which will vary according to the needs of the venue.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient venue operations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints, and/or accidents.
  • Regularly supervise and assist bartenders, servers, server assistants, and hosts on the floor during peak operational hours.
  • Conduct daily pre-shifts meetings to inform team of venue happenings.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in compliance with the state regulations.
  • Ensure team members are aware of all applicable laws regarding alcoholic beverages.
  • Complete all required training from Mainsail Corporate.
  • Ensure compliance with all F&B policies and procedures by training, supervision, hands on approach, and follow- up.
  • Monitor beverage staff to ensure proper portion control and maintain acceptable beverage cost.
  • Ensure guest and staff privacy and security by correctly following venue procedures, and by implementing and monitoring established protocol
  • Train, motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all bar team members according to the company standards
  • Promote open lines of communication with all team members and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Ensure team members are treated fairly and equitably, prioritize team member retention.
  • Respond to emergency situations using information contained in Safety Data Sheets; keep SDS’s current and easily available.
  • Other duties as assigned by Mainsail Lodging and Development leadership and/or venue ownership, particularly leadership duties required in the absence of the venue general manager.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification Standards

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • Minimum 2 years in supervisory or managerial role at a high-volume bar, catering operation, lounge and/or fine dining restaurant or hotel.
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine and spirits is required.
  • Mid-scale, lounge and bar knowledge is required.
  • Toast POS, seating and reservation systems, and payroll systems knowledge preferred.
