Job Description

The Athletic Band Manager will assist the Director of Athletic Bands and the Marching Band Business Services Coordinator with the transport, organization and inventory of all music, uniforms, and instruments/equipment, as well assist with other related tasks throughout the marching band season (fall) and basketball band season (late fall/spring). Duties of the Athletic Band Manager will include but not be limited to: helping with the assignment of instruments, lockers, and locker combinations to band members; cleaning instruments; uniform fittings; cleaning and inspecting uniforms; completing and tracking uniform/instrument loan agreements; copying/organizing/distributing music; taking attendance; solving music/uniform/equipment issues; communicating with band students about policies and procedures; lining the rehearsal field; transporting equipment; and directing other students as needed. All tasks will be completed with minimal supervision. The Athletic Band Manager will also communicate any band supply needs to the Director of Athletic Bands or the Marching Band Business Services Coordinator. This person must be a current member of the "Pride of Niner Nation" Marching Band, have knowledge of marching band supplies, equipment, schedules and procedures; be extremely organized, open-minded, self-motivated, and self-sufficient; be willing and able to communicate clearly and openly with a large variety of people; and be adaptable to constantly changing schedules and weather challenges.
