Summary: 

As an intern with We Rock Charlotte, you will have the chance to play a pivotal role in our organization's mission while gaining valuable skills and experience in various aspects of arts administration, music education, and event coordination. This internship is ideal for emerging musicians, aspiring educators, and individuals interested in nonprofit management and community outreach. This internship will have in-person and virtual assignments. 

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Assisting with scheduling music lessons for our music school, ensuring efficient coordination and communication with instructors and students.
• Opportunity to teach music lessons if you possess the necessary skill set, although teaching experience is not required.
• Assisted with grant writing and the process of securing funding for nonprofit initiatives.
• Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities to support our programs and initiatives.
• Participating in the planning, setup, and operation of the We Rock Youth Stage at Charlotte's Festival in the Park, a unique opportunity to showcase young talent and promote community involvement in the arts.
• Other duties as assigned and agreed upon by the intern and supervisor.
• Checking in weekly with supervisor.
