HGC is accepting resumes for the position of Media Production Intern for Spring 2024. This position will work closely with the Team Development Group (TDG) and will be supervised by, and report directly to, the Marketing Manager to assist with all aspects of photo and video production and the post-production process. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of fundamental camera and video equipment operation and post-production editing who is also able to independently move projects through to completion with a short turnaround time.

The intern will be given our corporate mission and vision documents to better understand our core values and overall direction for their work. The intern will also go through an orientation period that will include (but is not limited to) one-on-one meetings with the Marketing Manager, other members of the Team Development Group, and resource group leaders. This orientation period will help the intern become more familiar with our organization as well as understand our goals and objectives.

The intern will be given full access to HGC's camera and sound equipment and the opportunity to be issued a laptop with the full Adobe Creative Cloud.  If the intern chooses to use their personal camera equipment, A/V equipment, specialty equipment, and the like thereof, this will be at their discretion and HGC will not be liable for any damages unless otherwise discussed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage HGC’s internal and external photo and video projects from start to finish
• Help elevate HGC’s photo and video production quality
• Evaluate TDG’s media needs and photograph/film, edit and produce as requested
• Assist with the set-up, filming, and post-production of ‘Give Us The Dirt’ podcast episodes
• Assist with the set-up, filming, and post-production of miscellaneous training video recordings with HGC leadership and teammates

• Lead post-production editing for long and short-form content related to brand awareness, recruiting, training, teammate engagement

• Participate in marketing and brand ideation meetings

• Contribute to the marketing team’s creative environment
• Assist with team, company, and community events as needed

Experience & Requirements:

• A team player who displays our core values
• Able to work ~30 hours/week
• Must be available to be on-site as needed to film or meet with the HGC team
• Must be enrolled in a 4-year program and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA – Students receiving college credit preferred

• A forward-thinking, creative, problem-solver
• Passionate about media production

• Experience with Adobe Software (Premiere Pro, Photoshop)

• Familiar with a variety of camera and recording equipment
