Sealed Air is seeking an Electrical Engineering Student in our state-of-the-art facility.  We seek a passionate intern to join our community of world-class engineers on a multidisciplinary team of Electrical, Software, and Computer engineers.  Our team's mission is to exceed our customers' expectations by creating disruptive new products while relentlessly innovating our existing products.

 

We seek a dedicated, self-driven intern to assist in developing electrical and control systems for industrial automation and food manufacturing equipment. Our talented engineers support various aspects of electrical controls project execution from concept through delivery; this includes power distribution system design, safety, and control system design, PLC/HMI/servo programming, robotic programming and integration, and site start-up support of integrated systems. In addition, our Engineers develop detailed electrical assembly drawings for enclosure fabrication and machine assembly; create power distribution, IO and control, and other electrical schematics; and program and debug many system automation equipment types, including Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLCs, PanelView HMIs, Kinetix servo, and PowerFlex drives. We enjoy a great work environment with state-of-the-art equipment and specialized labs, including materials, mechanical, chemical, electrical, food, and industrial automation labs.

  • Seeking an individual interested in industrial automation and controls to assist our teams in developing innovative packaging equipment and user-oriented electrical controls using their unique creativity and raw talent. Our interns assist our engineering teams as we continuously improve existing products and create new products.

Required Qualifications:

  • Rising senior working towards a bachelor's or completed at least one year in a master's program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical and control systems
  • Experience with Alan and Bradley or Rockwell industrial automation equipment is a plus
  • Experience with embedded, PLC or robotic programming is a plus
  • 0 or higher GPA
  • Able to provide own transportation to the internship/co-op location
  • Ability to occasionally travel
