Job Description

The Forbo Movement Systems division holds a leading position worldwide as a supplier of high-quality conveyor and processing belts, plastic modular belts, first-class drive belts, and toothed and flat belts made of synthetic materials. These products are known under the Siegling brand name. They are used for a wide variety of applications in industry and in retail and service companies, for example as conveyor and processing belts in the food industry, as treadmills in fitness studios or as flat belts in mail distribution systems.

The Process Engineer is responsible to drive continuous improvement and implement projects throughout the organization using Lean manufacturing principals and techniques.

Responsibilities:
Works with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.

Evaluates and analyzes current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.

Analyze and identifies opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.

Develops process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.

Facilitates the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.

Works with various teams to reduce process and business variations.

Manages capital projects.

Prepares project presentations for management when needed.

Reviews and updates business procedures and documents based on project requirements.

Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial or other related discipline

5-7 years experience in industrial production environment - Chemical

2-3 years proven experience of continuous improvement application

Lean Management and/or Six Sigma preferred

2 - 3 years within any Polymer or Grabber industry

2- 3 years extrusion and/or coating exposure

Strong written and verbal communication skills and that ability to communicate well will all levels of an organization

Self-motivated for process improvement and knowledge transfer (leading by example)

Hands-on mentality, ability to work in a factory environment, around machinery and material handling equipment

Organizational skills to promote efficient production environment

Ability to work with and create spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft products

Basic clerical skills including data entry into SAP system

Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality control raw materials and other methods

Previous experience in quality or business process engineering

Previous experience working with CAD and/or AutoCAD would be beneficial
