Description
Our Information and Data Management Internship offers students an invaluable
opportunity to gain experience and develop skills that are highly transferable to various career paths. By actively participating in member engagement and data management tasks, interns will refine their communication skills through interactions with members, enhancing their ability to convey information clearly and professionally.


Interns will gain practical experience in a real-world environment, applying classroom
knowledge to practical scenarios and building their resumes for diverse fields. At the
Chamber, interns will engage in meaningful work experiences tailored to their academic and career goals. Opportunities include research, writing, database management, policy analysis, communications, and event preparation. Throughout the internship, interns will have the chance to network with colleagues and senior-level executives, participating in educational and professional activities designed
to enrich their experience. This internship program equips interns with the skills,
knowledge, and connections necessary for success in their future careers.
Our Information and Data Management Internship can play a pivotal role in driving our project to completion as we navigate the final stages of the US Chamber of Commerce accreditation process. With our project already 60 percent complete, the intern's assistance in areas such as data management, research, policy development,
communications, quality assurance, project management, and training efforts can prove invaluable. By leveraging their skills and enthusiasm, the intern can help streamline our processes, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and ultimately enhance the chamber's reputation and credibility within the business community. Their contributions will not only expedite the remaining tasks but also uphold the quality and professionalism integral to our accreditation endeavor.


Duties and Responsibilities
● Data Management and Documentation:
● Assist in organizing and managing documentation required for
accreditation.
● Compile, organize, and update documents as it pertains to the
accreditation.
● Research and Analysis:
● Conduct research on accreditation standards and best practices.
● Analyze existing policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement
or updates to align with accreditation criteria.
● Policy Development and Implementation:
● Help develop or revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
accreditation standards.
● Communications and Outreach:
● Support communications efforts related to accreditation by drafting
communications materials.
● Update the chamber's website or social media platforms with
accreditation-related information..
● Quality Assurance and Documentation Review:
● Assist in conducting internal audits or reviews to ensure documentation is
accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
● Help prepare documentation for submission to the accrediting body and
track the progress of the accreditation process.
● Project Management:
● Take on project management responsibilities related to accreditation.
● Create timelines, coordinate meetings, and track action items to ensure all
necessary tasks are completed on time.
● Training and Education:
● Assist in developing training materials or resources to educate staff and
volunteers about accreditation standards, requirements, and processes.
Projects
● Aid in the continued development and implementation of the accreditation
process for the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce
● Other Duties: time permitting, participate in and may be assigned additional tasks
to support the mission and purpose of the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce, as
needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
● Knowledge of Google Suite and all of its functions.
● Knowledge of Canva
● Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed instructions.
● Project planning skills.
● Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
● Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
● Work is performed in person and in an office work environment.
● Transportation is required
● Work hours are 8 am to 4 pm with a 30 minute lunch break
● Business attire is require
